The boat:
NOMAD:
Nomad is a magnificent 60 foot timber sloop, custom built in 1995 for the sole purpose of searching for waves. Charters are normally scheduled as 11 or 14 nights trips as it's a good length of time and this usually coincides with at least one or two swells.
The Nomad is very flexible regarding its charter destinations. She has a larger fuel, water, fridge and freezer capacity than most allowing trips to run for a longer time and further distances.The tender main is an aluminium speed boat with a Yamaha 200 hp on the back, traveling comfortably at 35 knots. Getting you there quickly when the wind swings or when you are in the area with a few different wave options, keeping you a step ahead. It is also great for afternoon deep sea fishing excursions.
The Nomad is captained, owned and operated by Todd Roesler. The rest of the crew is composed of 2 Indonesians and 1 westerner, and they will be here to have you smiling, having fun and scoring perfect waves all the way through your trip.
Miscellaneous: 2 tenders, one with 200 hp outboard engine and one dingy with 25hp, TV, DVD, stereo CD, 220 volts plugs with international adaptors, life saving equipment, fishing and snorkeling gear, toilet and shower, 2 satellite phones.

Starts from:
Padang (West Sumatra).
Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Padang Airport, transfer to the harbor, departure for the Mentawai in the evening.
Day 2: Arrival in the islands early morning, first surf in the area.
Day 3 to day 12: Boat trip aboard Nomad in the Mentawai and/or North Sumatra. Departure for Padang on the 12th day in the evening.
Day 13: Arrival in Padang early in the morning, transfer to Padang Airport by mid-morning to connect with outgoing international flights.
