Situated just off the coast of West Java, Panaitan Island hosts 7 excellent and uncrowded surf spots including the legendary One Palm Point, Illusions and Apocalypse.
Some of the waves are for experienced surfers only, but some other spots suits the less experienced surfers as well and are more fun than scary (but you still have to watch out for the reef below in case of a wipe out).
Panaitan is rich in wildlife and now you can enjoy surfing One Palm Point and the other world class waves in warm, clear blue water without the crowds.
Panaitan is covered with pristine forest, the wildlife includes deers, wild pigs, monkeys, bulls, large monitor lizards, black leopard, python and a wide variety of bird life. This beautiful tropical island is the backdrop of some of the most incredible surf spots in the world.
The island is part of Ujung Kulon National Park, which is a United Nations World Heritage site. Our boats have the required government permits to take you to these great waves.
We offer different types of stay: On a boat (we have an Indonesian style Okuma boat), that anchors right by the breaks and stays there for the duration of your trip, so you just have to jump out and surf); or on the nearby island of Peucang (you are transported to the break in 20 minutes by a fast boat every day) which is in use by the park rangers. Therefore, we leave Panaitan and the park as we found it.

Starts from:
Jakarta (Java).
Itinerary:
Day 1: Pick-up and transfer from Jakarta Airport to Carita harbor (if you stay on Peucang Island) then to the island, or to Tanjung Leusung harbor (if you stay on the Okuma boat) then to Panaitan Island, arrival at mid-day in both locations.
Day 2 to Day 6: Surfing Panaitan.
Day 7: Leaving in the morning, transfer to Jakarta Airport to connect with outgoing international or domestic flights.
